quinn222 at 12:44pm on 20/06/2005My brother and SIL have had a house fire. Thank God no one was hurt and the dogs and cat are fine also. House is not fine. Most of the main level was destroyed. They won't be able to move back in for many months and are trying to find a rental that is near the kids school and allows two dogs (one large and one very large.)
Also-
I'm trying to get my DVD organized. So far they are done in the computer. In RL however they are all in one of those DVD cases (except for the box sets) in no order at all. And the case is full with some leftovers. Should I do it in Alphabetical order? By category? Alphabetical seems like the easiest way to go back and retrieve them later.
I look at this list and I can see in an instant the ones I bought for myself and the ones people gave me. There are some here that I know I will never ever watch but it's good to have some variety for when I have houseguests.

As for the dvds...I tend to put my dvds and cds in alphabetical order, cause I'm neurotic like that. It is good to have them in order so you can find what you want easier though!

as for DVD arrangement... *looks at own bookshelf*... well, either alphabetical or category + alphabetical.
OR, you could just go by color! :D I've arranged my books according to cover color, and you know what? It worked just fine, because I knew what they all looked like. (Mind you, this was 300+ books.)

What did you think of De-Lovely? I thought it was incredibly bad. I am tired of younger women playing older women and older men playing younger men. Cole Porter's wife was about 10 years his senior. Ashley Judd has to be 20 years younger than Kevin Kline. And both of them needed singing lessons.

I thought it was okay. Not the best film I ever saw in my life but I enjoyed it well enough. I really like Kevin Kline though.

We do get a generous employee discount. Also a couple of weeks a year we get 'employee appreciation', a week when our discount is increased. And for Christmas the company gives us a DVD, so a couple of those are outright gifts from the company.
I take advantage of the deals on previously viewed DVDs too. Buy two get one Free, etc. My discount still applies to those as well.
