A couple of years ago my whole family was here visiting and they had to shuffle cars so some of the guys could go golfing. My dad came back in the house and said,
QuinnDad - "You know that mailbox pole you keep saying you hate? I just knocked it down. With your car." [The 'pole' in question was a four foot high, 18 inch square tower of solid concrete (which is why I hadn't gotten rid of it.) ]
Quinn - !! "How much damage to the car?"
QuinnDad - "Oh the car is fine...do you have any duct tape?"
Quinn - Dies laughing and then goes and duct tapes the exhaust up off the driveway and calls for a tow.
This morning. Phone rings.
Quinn - hello?
QuinnDad - "It's me. I just wanted to let you know I scraped you car pulling out of the driveway. I didn't want you to think someone had come in and damaged it and call the police."
Quinn - "oh. Okay." [wonders what would make me think of anyone other then him when I discovered it.]
So I just went and wiped a whole lot of QuinnDad's car coloured paint off the side of my car. I wonder what his is like. Mine is built like a tank, his, not so much.
