Another update

Just got back from the hospital. Mom is still doing fine but they are keeping her at least through Monday. They have her scheduled for a stress test on Monday and then think she'll get a referral to a cardiologist. She still shows no signs of a heart attack but she presented with all the classic symptoms so they want to give her a good looking over.

Happily we live 2 blocks from the hospital so it's easy for us to pop in often for short visits and keep her company without staying so long that she wants to kick us out!
I'm exhausted. I'm running on about 3 hours of sleep.

Thanks for letting us know, Quinn. And, it sounds like good news. It's very good that the heart muscle wasn't damaged. Get some sleep!

Good news. Glad they're taking this seriously and not just sending her home with a pat on the head. I'll continue to keep all of you in my thoughts.

Best wishes to your mom and to you. I spent some time in the cardiac unit this past January. Much better now but had to give up most of my vices - LOL. When the doctor told me what I'd need to give up I asked him what was the use in being healthy if I couldn't do anything I enjoyed- he was not amused- but the nurses did smirk a little.

hey, i was gone over the weekend so i'm just getting caught up. i'm sorry you had such a scare, but i'm glad your mom is doing well! we had a similar scare with my mom last summer, but it turned out to be a reaction from medication. she was in the hospital for a few days, but she ended up fine in the end. hopefully your mom gets to come home soon and get some real rest (everyone knows you can't rest in the hospital)! ♥
