I just got back from the hospital. My dad woke me up at 11:30 to tell me my mother was having chest pain. She didn't want us to call 911 but we finally insisted and the ambulance came. She's doing fine right now but they are going to admit her for at least overnight and probably through the weekend so they can do some tests. So scary. God bless those EMTs, there were at least eight of them and they managed to do everything they had to while keeping her calm and not frightening my dad.

Off to bed. Again.

I'm glad you all were fast to react. You always hear other people talk about things like this but nothing prepares you for it happening to you and your parents - I've been there. Hang in there - I pray everything goes well.

Thanks, it is very scary but knowing we're only 2 blocks from the hospital and the paramedics are only two blocks from us helped a lot.

sending positive thoughts your way. Good for you for making her go, I lost one of my grandfathers because he refused to have an ambulance called. Your mom is in good hands and will be fine.
