I got Particles of Truth today on DVD. It does come out next week (as my flist pointed out) but I get them a week early. On the back of the case it says 'Director's Commentary.' Nothing about Gale but on the disk they are both there.
All these comments are getting so long I have to put them behind a cut
Gale's not actually in the film for the first few scenes so he's having a hard time coming up with much to say. He did make fun of the guy's striped underwear and that JE hit the camera with a hammer because she didn't know how to hammer.
First shot of Gale is his hands and JE said she found that very sexy. Join the club.
ROTF, poor JE. She asked him what he thought about the characters and their personalitites when they first met and he told her he didn't want to psychoanylize the characters while he was watching it.

Aww, so cute him making fun of himself in the 'baby blue shower cap.'
The scene where Lily and Morrison kiss and then Lily excuses herself to go the bathroom. JE talks about how a lot of people thought she was going to put her diaphram in and didn't realize she was going to have an anxiety attack. Then they continue to discus how she yelled at Gale for saying he thought the same thing. He didn't think he was being crass, he just thought that's what she was doing.
At one point Lily walks by a Mexican place and Gale comments that he really likes that restaurant a lot.
oh-kay. The second face washing scene. Gale starts washing very very fast and JE says, "People kept asking me did you fast forward this because he's moving so fast. But I didn't didn't Gale can move his hands very fast very easily."
Gotta love Gale. For the first time I saw some Brian in him. JE is going on and on about how this one scene shows something and Gale said "I would never see it that way but it's an interesting way to look at it." OMG. She wrote, directed, produced etc. He might as well have just said, "Well you so didn't get your point across there." !!
Oh, and he says 'goodmight' at the end. Must have sound clip of that.
