I went and picked up my father's ashes on Saturday. The box was fairly heavy and I had it sort of cradled in my arms as I walked to the car. Many times in those last months of his life he would fall or simply be too weak to get up and I would lift him. I thought of that and if this was the last time I would carry him and just about burst into tears right there. GOD.

hokay. So. On a more cheerful note. My boss stopped in to see me on Friday and asked to see what I was working on. As it happened I was animating this little green, star shaped character. He loved it and mentioned that he thinks I am doing really good work. Which is nice because I've been fearing getting laid off. They could outsource me if they wanted to. Made me feel a bit better about things for him to go out of his way to tell me that. Also little green star man is awfully cute. Okay, not really cute, kinda weird actually but he looks funny dancing across the screen.

Adam did two shows in Vancouver this weekend and he and Tommy were finally on stage together after a long time. They made the most of it.



Then Adam flew to Vegas where he mentored the idols for this weeks American Idol. It's going to be Elvis themed. I can't decide if it's going to be a train wreck or not but for the first time this season I am really looking forward to watching it. I only like one of them (Crystal) but if anyone can help this group it's probably Adam. Speaking of Adam if you get Palladia Adam's unplugged episode is showing on there, give it a look see. He'll be performing on idol Wednesday night and he's performing I think the 17th at the GLAAD awards in LA. Kind of amuses me since they threw him under the bus after the AMAs and then were forced to backtrack right quickly.
